A wall-mounted bookcase is the most traditional type, especially when it's made in solid wood: impressive and strong, filled with books right up to the ceiling, and often dusty: this is the image that comes to mind when we think of a classic wall-mounted bookcase.
Over time, this image has been replaced by far more modern bookcases with contemporary design and clean, even minimalist lines, in which books are not the only consideration. In fact, just like other items of furniture, bookcases bear witness to the changes in our lifestyles and habits.
Today there may not be so many books on our shelves, but the wall-mounted bookcase remains an essential feature in our homes, public spaces such as offices and companies, and other community settings; it is a highly versatile item of furniture that adapts easily to the space it occupies and is open to extensive customisation.
Types of wall-mounted bookcases
A wall-mounted bookcase can be with or without back; it can alternate open sections with cupboards and drawers, and can be used to separate two rooms or create a division without affecting the light. The classic example is a bookcase positioned in an open-plan home to divide the living area from the kitchen or to define the entrance area. In an office, it may be used to separate work stations and sections, or to furnish a corridor.
When located in a living area or a meeting room, a wall-mounted bookcase can include a section for a TV; when used in a bedroom or an office, it can be combined with a desk to create a useful working area.
Wall-mounted bookcases can be made to measure, for example to furnish an attic, an under-stairs space or an alcove: in this case, it's best to call in a professional who can provide a designer project.

We present Modula. Modula is the bookcase from our designers that combines the classic concept of bookcase with the versatility of modular and modern designer shelving. It's available in 2 versions:
- wall-mounted bookcase
- floor-to-ceiling bookcase
In both versions, the uprights are in lightweight, robust aluminium and available in black or white.
The wall-mounted version is supplied with special brackets to fix the structure to the wall, while the uprights are available in 2 different lengths (1 metre or 2 metres), which can be combined to create different arrangements, e.g. single column or double column.
To complete our wall-mounted bookcase we provide:
- adjustable feet with a range of 50 mm
- innovative shelf supports
- on request, shelves of 2 different sizes with a load-bearing capacity of 60 kilos and adjustable angle
Like the uprights, the feet, shelf supports and shelves themselves are available in 2 colours, black and white.
